Mission Moments

We're helping tell stories that change the world.

Next PR partners with passionate clients making an impact both locally and globally – and we love the opportunity to shout their stories from the rooftops.

Here are just a few examples of how we’re helping our clients change the world, one story at a time.

SHINING LIGHT ON ADOPTION

Our pro-bono work with Gift of Adoption, an organization providing grants to complete the adoptions of vulnerable children, led to this powerful story in People featuring the inspirational Carlson family.

The Carlsons completed the adoption of four siblings from a Polish orphanage with the help of a Gift of Adoption grant.

EMPOWERING ABILITIES

Our pro-bono work with Brewability, a Colorado-based brewery and pizzeria primarily staffed by adults with developmental disabilities, directly led to a 100K kitchen storage makeover grant.

“With the help of your website copy and other materials you prepared, we recently won a kitchen storage makeover with 100K of shelving from Metro Food Service! I use all the materials to apply for grants and it’s working! I can’t thank you enough!”

FINDING FUREVER HOMES

Denver’s MaxFund Animal Adoption Center, a nonprofit, no-kill shelter for abused, abandoned and injured animals, was overcrowded. Our team volunteered to help spread the word about available pets and increase adoption rates.

After the team secured a weekly news segment on Denver’s FOX31 TV station featuring a cat or dog each week, the shelter saw a 100% adoption rate of each featured animal.

SUPPORTING STUDENT PARENTS

Less than 2% of teen parents graduate college. Generation Hope, a nonprofit supporting young parents in college, partnered with Next PR to increase inclusivity, race equity and family friendliness on college campuses.

Our team ran a media training workshop to build student confidence in sharing their stories and impact. The campaign resulted in 10 features, including Oprah Daily, Forbes and a three-part series in Teen Vogue, highlighting the students' achievements and helping shift the perception of student parents.

ENDING PERIOD POVERTY

No More Secrets's ultimate goal is to end period poverty in underserved communities. Our team supported the nonprofit in raising awareness and driving campaign donations for the opening of the nation’s first menstrual hub, The SPOT Period.

By strategically placing links to The SPOT Period’s GoFundMe page in media placements and securing an exclusive story in Philadelphia Magazine, the team drove reporter interest and generated a steady stream of coverage. This led to daily donations exceeding the original campaign goal by tens of thousands of dollars to help end period poverty.

PROMOTING EQUALITY IN EDUCATION

Our team provided pro-bono PR services to Sachs Foundation, a Colorado Springs organization dedicated to supporting the Black communities of Colorado through educational and community programs.

As a result of a local article we placed, the foundation received a six-figure donation to further its mission and award scholarships to high-achieving students.

Innovating Military Tech

FirePoint assists Department of Defense innovators in developing critical new technology capabilities to support those serving our country every day, at home and abroad.

Our team secured a key media placement around a new collaboration hub to connect Department of Defense aviation with emerging tech in a target military trade. The result? FirePoint received 25+ new business meetings, including one with the Pentagon.

PROVIDING ESSENTIAL GOODS TO THE COMMUNITY

GiveNKind, a Chicago-based nonprofit, turns excess new, usable goods into community resources by collecting donations from hundreds of companies. Our team volunteered to help elevate the brand's coverage in the Chicagoland area.

Our outreach resulted in coverage in FOX32’s Good News Guarantee and highlighted the work GiveNKind is doing to impact other nonprofits and the community.

Championing An Equitable Pharmaceutical Market

Nearly half of consumers have abandoned a prescription due to cost. Our team partnered with Prescryptive to help rewrite the script for the pharmacy experience and advocate for a more equitable healthcare system.

As congressional hearings began shedding light on unjust pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) practices, we positioned Prescryptive CEO Chris Blackley to explain why the system was broken. This led to Blackley becoming a prominent voice in top-tier publications to explain the complexities of PBMs.

Today, new models are being created to decrease out-of-pocket drug prices and sustain independent pharmacies – signaling a shift toward a more sustainable pharmaceutical landscape.

Destigmatizing Substance Use Disorder (SUD)

American Addiction Centers (AAC) helps those with addiction find support, resources and access to treatment. Our team partnered with AAC to help break the stigma by telling personal stories and educating the public that addiction is a brain disease, not a character flaw.

AAC’s experts are now sought out for consistent media interviews on addiction, overdose rates and mental health. Our proactive PR strategy has helped destigmatize addiction by sharing the personal journeys of individuals in recovery and reshaping public perception.
