THE CHALLENGE

During the hustle of the year's two biggest adult entertainment conventions in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Utherverse Digital was unveiling its second-generation interactive adult entertainment platform.

Next PR needed to find new ways to attract attention to this launch, with the additional challenge of reaching mainstream national media with adult entertainment content.

 

HOW WE GOT THERE

Ahead of the launch, Next PR strategically tracked coverage from previous conventions to determine which mainstream national reporters were covering the adult entertainment industry. The team then built buzz prior to the launch by announcing a RedLightCenter companion app to build anticipation and grab headlines for Utherverse.

To launch RedLightCenter 2.0 at the events, Next PR drove traffic to the company’s booth by offering reporters VR headset demos, displaying Utherverse's full technology capabilities in real-time.

After the event, the team continued to offer product demos and pursue opportunities where Utherverse's CEO Brian Shuster could provide commentary and insights on relevant industry topics, such as technology and dating.

 

THE RESULTS

Through Next PR's strategic approach, the team coordinated a video segment with CNBC, filmed at the convention, which resulted in a long-form article detailing the company’s story and the launch news.

Post-launch, the team leveraged Shuster’s expertise on the hot topic of virtual reality and secured coverage in outlets like VICE, RollingStone and VentureBeat.
