THE CHALLENGE

The healthcare company wanted to boost national brand awareness and elevate its executive profiles. It had received some recognition in the past through its speaking and award efforts, but needed to secure a more acclaimed national win to amplify the program. Enter: Next PR.

 

HOW WE GOT THERE

To win hyper-competitive national awards and speaking opportunities, Next PR drafted submissions that told the brand’s compelling growth and innovation story, as well as demonstrated its executives’ impressive backgrounds and expertise.

These nominations must use storytelling elements to hold judges’ attention, regardless of the industry or company. From experience, Next PR knew successful submissions need persuasive case studies and comparable data to persuade the judges and speaking selectors.

Acting as an extension of the team, Next PR pushed the client to provide real-life examples and data to demonstrate its impact on communities in need throughout the U.S.

After working together to determine the perfect case studies and examples to make an emotional connection, Next PR drafted submissions, winning over judges in a variety of award categories including product, workplace, individual and mission-based awards.

The team also tapped its cumulative knowledge, based on past award judging and award program experience, to avoid cliches, known judge pet peeves and marketing jargon. These insights differentiated Next PR’s award program and positioned the client to win.

THE RESULTS

In one year, the client won seven awards highlighting its mission, executives, products and company culture, including Inc. 5000, Fortune Impact 20, the American Business Awards and the New York Business Journal Women of Influence awards, where its Chief Operating Officer was selected as one out of only 10 women featured.

The company’s Chief Product Officer was selected to speak at one of the healthcare industry’s premier events, ViVE, where only a handful of speakers were selected out of thousands of applicants.

These results meant a 75% increase in wins compared to the year prior and seven times the number of wins over the company’s top competitor.

Once the award wins were secured, Next PR went to work building a strategy to promote each recognition.
